How does laser therapy work?
- Laser therapy works by the use of a therapeutic dose of light applied to an area of tissue where there is pain or injury. The tissue absorbs the light and a reaction occurs in the damaged cells that promotes regeneration.
What can laser therapy be use for?
- Laser therapy can be used to help reduce pain and inflammation, as well as to promote wound healing and tissue regeneration.
What conditions can Laser therapy be used for?
There are many conditions that can benefit from laser therapy, including, but not limited to:
- Surgical wounds
- Arthritis
- Damage to soft tissue
- Abscesses
- Burns
- Acute pain
- To help healing following an operation
Is it painful for my cat to receive laser therapy?
- The application of the laser should not cause any pain or discomfort to your cat.
Will my cat need to be sedated to have laser therapy?
- Providing that we can make you cat comfortable sitting on a bed or blanket, or in their open carrier, we should be able to treat him or her without the use of any drugs. Treats can be provided to aid cooperation!
